Getting Started
Hello one and all! I never thought I would get into this blogging thing. Over the past several months I just sort of eased into it. I think that I should have a public page or it would make more sense to blog in a notebook. I have been racking my brains on what to post. It is not that I have nothing to say, rather I have too much to say and don't know where to begin. I have many, many interests, but don't think that they fit nicely into my profile.
I have had a few friends over the years who joined cults. I've rubbed elbows with a few myself. Last fall, I set out to learn as much as I could about them. Reading up on cults is the event that brought me to blogging.
Advice I would give to my friends:
- Learn your faith and the Bible well or you get sucked into cults. Those who do get sucked in haven't bothered to learn their faith, in many cases. Those who believe in nothing will fall for everything.
- Leaving a cult is not the same as leaving God. Those who walk out aren't Hell bound. Rather, they may have an even greater place in Heaven.
- Take time for God and for yourself. It is when our bodies and minds are quiet that we can hear Him.
- Take time for fun. Even God takes a day off.
- Remember you can't work your way to Heaven.
- Work hard weeding or those baobab trees will overtake everything.
- Call your parents; they still love you.
- Call your friends; they also love you.
- Get plenty of rest. Well rested people get along with others better.
- Eat a healthy, balanced diet. It helps you think clearer.
In the long run God and love are what matter most. God is Love.

it depends what you define as a cult, i now have a much broader view of what a cult is. i have some videos for you top watch, i will give them to you but i urge you to have an open mind and evauate it, not just get mad and shut it off.
@navybluewalliser - I'm open to it. I usually have to go the library to see videos. We have dial up. I have other friends who post links to anti-cult videos, too. Are the links on your page?
Some of those CFC videos look like they were produced by 11 year olds--LOL.
Just stopped by to say hello, and welcome! thank you for commenting on my blog! :)
